STUDENT SUPERVISORS (SS)

Student Supervisors are crucial to help BUILD achieve its missions. They mainly lead volunteers in the fall semester and allow us to complete the project in a timely manner.

Role in BUILD

The main role for SS is to lead groups of volunteer who come onto site. This involves

  • teaching volunteers how to do their work

  • operating power tools that volunteers can't use

  • setting up work areas

Overall, while Student Supervisors aren't the primary source of leadership on site, they are the link that connects the instruction of the Site Superintendents to student volunteers.

SS Information

Student supervisors direct volunteers on site during BUILD's fall semester.  While previous construction experience is a plus, it is not required. We will teach you everything you need to know.

This makes it a perfect position for those already familiar with tool skills, those wishing to develop them or for those solely looking to help change the lives of others worldwide
